Head-On Crash Kills Two Women

From Staff And Wire Reports

Two women died in a three-car accident west of Marysville, the State Patrol said.

The collision occurred Wednesday on Marine View Drive, between Marysville and the village of Tulalip on the Tulalip Indian Reservation.

Dead at the scene were Vivian L. Burbank, 45, and the passenger in her car, Susan M. McCormack, 42, both of Marysville, a patrol officer said Thursday. Both were wearing seat belts. Two children in the car - McCormack’s 10-year-old and Burbank’s 12-year-old - were not injured.

Burbank’s eastbound car collided in the westbound lane with a westbound truck, which rolled and struck a second car in the eastbound lane, the officer said.

The driver of the truck - Eugene N. Lindahl, 61, of Marysville - was transported from the scene for treatment of head and chest injuries, the officer said.

The driver of the second car was not injured.
