Wwii Mine Kills 3 Russian Children

Compiled From Wire Services

Three children were killed when a World War II anti-tank mine exploded as they were trying to take it apart.

A six-year-old girl and two nineyear-old boys found the unexploded mine in a field near the village of Molodoi Tud 90 miles northwest of Moscow, the ITAR-Tass news agency reported Thursday.

The mine exploded as the boys tried to dismantle it, the news agency said.

It did not say when the accident occurred.

ITAR-Tass said seven more World War II mines were found nearby, and were deactivated.
