Tai Leads A Flight At Liberty Lake

Liberty Lake Ladies 9-Hole Golf Club was paced last week by Elaine Tai during its regular meet. Tai shot a 52 in A flight during last week’s competition.

In other flights, Sadie Rueckert shot 54 to lead B golfers, Thelda Moen had 55 in C flight and Pat Thompson 68 in D flight.

Net leaders were Charlotte Stiller and Ellan Bohannan with 38s in A flight. Bohannan had a birdie on seven.

In B flight it was Ruth Jenkins and Joanne Ruddell with 40. Min Gutterud had 33 in C flight.

Also there was an award for fewest putts, won by Kathy March who took 14.

Painted Hills has outing

During last week’s Painted Hills competition, Danice Deckard led the way with a low gross 47 in A flight, including birdies on three and nine.

Other gross winners were Clare Herman and Lynn Hatfield with 52 in B, Cheryl Winkler with 52 in C and Idell Choate and Becky Zimmerman with 63s in D.

No-handicap golfer Sherrel Roshdy shot 51.

Net winners were Judy Watts with 34 in A, Carol McLean with 34 in B, Manda Benton with 32 in C and Helen Poulsen with 36 in D.

Meyers tops at Valley View

Leading the way during last week’s outing for Valley View Ladies Club members was Ann Meyers with a low gross 48.

In A flight, Lorraine Martin shot 54 and a net 37, in B, Edith Rains shot 55 and a net 29. In C, Laura Odette shot 65 and netted 35.

No-handicap winner was Barbara Eppling with 51.
