Ethiopia Gets Hands On Plane Hijackers
Five hijackers who diverted an Ethiopian Airlines plane to Sudan last month have been extradited, the Ethiopian News Agency reported Saturday.
The five hijacked an Ethiopian Boeing 737 on a domestic flight March 18 and demanded that the pilot take them to Sweden. But the pilot, who said the jet was low on fuel, landed in western Sudan.
They surrendered after Sudanese officials promised to help them seek political asylum in Sweden.
