Fight Outcome Contested

Compiled From Wire Services

George Foreman, 46, $10 million richer and planning to continue fighting, could be forced by the International Boxing Federation to defend his title again against Axel Schulz, the man who nearly took it from him Saturday night.

Bob Lee, head of the IBF, said he had received many complaints about the decision from people in the boxing community and expects the fight to be reviewed by a special committee.

Foreman won a majority decision, with one judge calling it even and two giving him the victory, 115-113. Lee said Schulz plans to lodge a formal protest, which then would trigger a championship committee meeting next week.

If the committee feels strongly that the decision was unjust, Lee said he has the authority to demand that Foreman fight Schulz again in his next bout or be stripped of the crown.
