Jensen-Byrd Name Changes With Times

From Staff And Wire Reports

Jensen-Byrd, a Spokane-based hard goods distribution company, has changed its name to Jensen Distribution Services Inc. to reflect the company’s restructuring efforts.

The change was announced Saturday to Jensen’s 250 employees during a company meeting in Spokane.

“In the last five years, our company has totally re-engineered itself,” said president Mike Jensen. “We’re really a new company.”

From its 252,000-square-foot warehouse center near Medical Lake, Jensen distributes hardware, sporting goods, automotive supplies and more to retail stores in 10 states. Customers include Trustworthy, Eagle Hardware, Ernst Home Centers and Home Base.

Jensen last November also bought the wholesale division of Morse Hardware in Bellingham, Wash.
