Two Men Shot During Fight Sunday Night

An argument among four men in a north Spokane neighborhood Sunday ended with two people being shot, one in the neck and the other in the leg, police said.

Both victims were treated at Deaconess Medical Center and released.

The shootings occurred about 11:30 p.m. on the 1500 block of West Carlisle, where two men walked to the back of a house and yelled for the victims to come outside.

Once they did, the men started yelling at each other. It is unclear what they were arguing about, police said. The victims indicated they fought with the same men at a dance the night before.

While outside, one of the victims told police he hit one of the other men with a pool stick. One of the assailants then pulled out a handgun, fired several shots and ran away.

Police have requested an arrest warrant for assault, but have not yet found the two suspects, who were identified by the victims.
