The Gorge Concert Tickets On Sale

MCA Concerts NW announced this week eight additional summer concerts at The Gorge at George, but tickets for those are only available now in bulk and only by phone. If you’re not willing to buy in bulk, you’ll have to wait.

People willing to purchase four tickets to four shows (a “4-by-4” package) can buy their way into the following concerts now:

Mary Chapin Carpenter/The Mavericks June 3 ($40.20 golden circle, $28.65 reserved, $24.45 general admission; eight-ticket limit per ticket-buyer on golden circle and reserved).

Kenny G June 23 ($63, $47.25, $31.50; eight-ticket limit per ticket-buyer on golden circle and reserved).

Bonnie Raitt July 8 ($43.35, $32.85, $24.45; eight-ticket limit per ticket-buyer on golden circle and reserved).

The Beach Boys July 29 ($39.40, $28.90, $23.65; eight-ticket limit per ticket-buyer on golden circle and reserved).

Blues Saturday featuring B.B. King, Jimmie Vaughan, Etta James, Elvin Bishop and J. Geils Aug. 5 ($43.60, $33.10, $27.85; eight-ticket limit per ticket-buyer on golden circle and reserved).

Smooth Jazz Sunday featuring David Sanborn (and a 33-piece orchestra), Lee Ritenour and Larry Carlton Aug. 6 ($52.50, $39.40, $28.90; eight-ticket limit per ticket-buyer on golden circle and reserved).

Lyle Lovett & His Large Band Aug. 12 ($52.50 platinum, $42 golden circle, $36.75 reserved, $26.25 general admission; eight-ticket limit per ticket-buyer on platinum, golden circle and reserved).

Peter, Paul & Mary Aug. 20 ($42 golden circle, $36.75 reserved, $26.25 reserved; no general admission for this concert, eight-ticket limit per ticket-buyer on all seats).

Steve Miller Band/Doobie Brothers Sept. 1 ($43.05, $32.55, $27.85; eight-ticket limit per ticket-buyer on golden circle and reserved).

Tickets to the following shows are already on sale and may be included in a “4-by-4” purchase:

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers May 5, 7 ($34.95, $27.50).

Queensryche May 26 ($30.20, $22.50).

Yanni June 4 ($31).

The “4-by-4” packages must be purchased by phone from Ticketmaster, (206) 628-0888.

Tickets to the May 21 R.E.M./ Sonic Youth show are sold out.

If you don’t want to buy in bulk, tickets for the following shows will go on sale Saturday: Steve Miller, starting at 9 a.m., Mary Chapin Carpenter, 10 a.m. and Bonnie Raitt and Kenny G, 11 a.m.

Tickets for the Blues Saturday and Smooth Jazz Sunday will be available at 10 a.m. on May 6.

Tickets for Lyle Lovett, The Beach Boys, and Peter, Paul and Mary will go on sale at 11 a.m. May 6.

Individual tickets will be available through Ticketmaster outlets at DJ’s Sound City at NorthTown and University City malls and the Crescent Court downtown or by calling (206) 628-0888. There will be service charges in addition to the ticket price. Tickets sold at DJ’s are cash only.

Ticket-buyers wanting Steve Miller concert tickets should line up at 8:30 a.m. at any DJ’s outlet to get a number, which will be their place in the ticket-buying line.
