Toll Climbs To 24 In Burundi Fighting

Burundi’s latest spasm of violence killed 24 people, twice the number of casualties previously reported, Burundi radio said Wednesday.

They died in fighting that broke out overnight Monday in the capital, Bujumbura, said the report, monitored by the British Broadcasting Corp. On Tuesday, the Burundi Press Agency reported 12 deaths, including two soldiers.
