Kids With Matches Blamed For House Fire

Fire investigators blame children playing with matches for starting a fire Thursday that left 11 people without a home.

Six adults, four pre-school children, and a cat lived in the twostory house at 921 N. Ash. Another adult was on an extended visit.

The renters were alerted to the fire about 11:50 a.m. by a passerby who spotted smoke.

The fire started in a second-floor bedroom.
