Black Helicopters Will Fill Area Skies

From Staff Reports

Residents between Fairchild Air Force Base and the Colville National Forest may notice an increase in dark helicopters in the air for the next 10 days.

Hold your fire. They’re not part of some plot from the New World Order.

They’re on our side.

The Air Force and Navy are conducting joint exercises that include simulated search and rescue missions with helicopters and HC-130 tankers, used to refuel the helicopters.

The search and rescue helicopters are painted dark green, which often looks black in low-light situations, Fairchild officials said.

The Survival School routinely uses helicopters to train students. Anyone with questions about the exercise, called Woodland Cougar, can call 247-5704.
