Lynda Long Mica Flats, Idaho

Funeral Mass for Lynda Marie Long, 42, will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Coeur d’Alene. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery, Coeur d’Alene. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Long died Thursday at home from cancer.

She was born in Coeur d’Alene.

She graduated from I.H.M. Academy and attended North Idaho Junior College and the University of Idaho.

She worked at the Kootenai Medical Center cafeteria and at Coeur d’Alene and Plummer elementary schools cafeterias.

She was also a volunteer at Garwood Elementary School.

She and her husband, Dave, drove long-haul truck together. In 1982 and 1984 they were honored by Tiger Trucking of Missoula as “Trucker Team of the Year.”

She was a member of the Bible Study Fellowship and was office manager for Dave Long Trucking in Rathdrum, Idaho.

She enjoyed working with stained glass, traveling, shopping and appaloosa horses.

Survivors include her husband of 21 years; three children, Allison, and twins Brittany and Benjamin Long, all at home; two sisters, Debra Dahlberg of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and Cynthia Woods of Coeur d’Alene.

Harry ‘Bud’ MacMillan Hunters, Wash.

No service will be held for Harry “Bud” MacMillan, 78, at his request. Strate Funeral Home in Davenport, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. MacMillan, who was born in Spokane, died Wednesday. He graduated from high school in Wellpinit, Wash., and had served in the Army during World War II.

He was a self-employed truck driver and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Alice MacMillan; one daughter, Barbara Ann Lee of Esterhazy, Saskatchewan; one sister, Jean Janssen of Wenatchee; and one granddaughter.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hunters Chamber of Commerce.

Stanley Woo Pullman

Service for Eng Shu Kan “Stanley” Woo, 76, will be at 2 p.m. today at Kimball Funeral Home in Pullman. Burial will be at Pullman City Cemetery.

Mr. Woo died Wednesday.

He was born in China and immigrated to the United States in 1939. Following World War II, he returned to China.

He and his wife, Alice, returned to Pullman, where he worked in the Oriental Cafe until 1962.

He was a member of the Presbyterian church.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years; one son, Edward Woo of Pullman; five daughters, Judy Eng Matthews-Woo and Lucy and Shirley Woo, both of Seattle, Doris Woo of Issaquah, Wash., and Barbara Woo of Arlington, Wash.; one brother, Shu Shing Eng of Las Vegas, Nev.; one sister, Eng Syea Shee Lee of New York City; and six grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Roberta ‘Bertie’ Whitney Wiklund Soap Lake, Wash.

Graveside service for former Davenport, Wash., resident, Roberta “Bertie” Whitney Wiklund, will be at 10 a.m. today at Mountain View Cemetery, Davenport. Strate Funeral Home in Davenport is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Wiklund, 58, died Tuesday at her home in Soap Lake.

A homemaker, she was born in Davenport and had recently moved to Soap Lake.

She is survived by her husband, Ron Wiklund; two daughters, Tina Poitra of Reardan, Wash., and Lorna Ashmead of John Day, Ore.; five sons, twins, Chris Hansen of Reardan and Craig Hansen of Gilchrist, Ore., Les Hansen of Reardan, Todd Hansen of Nine Mile Falls and Chad Hansen of Spokane; her father, K.D. Whitney of Davenport; one sister, Helen Virgin of Davenport; one brother, John “Bud” Whitney of Spokane; 12 grandchildren and six stepgrandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Davenport Ambulance Crew.

N.B. ‘James’ Hinnenkamp Colfax, Wash.

Funeral Mass for N.B. “James” Hinnenkamp, 78, will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Colfax, where he was a member. Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at Colfax Cemetery.

Mr. Hinnenkamp died from complications following an auto accident Monday.

He was born in Uniontown, Wash., and moved to Colfax when he was an infant.

He and his wife lived and farmed in the area between Colfax and Pullman.

He was a member of Parvin Grange and the Knights of Columbus.

Mr. Hinnenkamp is survived by his wife, Evelyn; two daughters, Kay VanDyke of Colfax and Betty Jo Sebo of Spokane; two sons, Ed Hinnenkamp and John Hinnenkamp, both of Colfax; three sisters, Phyllis Hinnenkamp and Mary Ann Sheer, both of Spokane, and Dorothy Hinnenkamp of Sacramento, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.

Memorial contributions may be made to Morning Star Boys Ranch or Colfax Ambulance Fund.

Suzanne Wright Palouse, Wash.

Burial Mass for Suzanne Mary Wright, 48, will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pullman. Burial will be at Pullman City Cemetery. Kimball Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Wright who died Wednesday from multiple sclerosis, was born in Springfield, Ill.

In 1977 she moved to Ephrata, Wash., after living in Arizona. She and her husband moved to Pullman in 1980.

She was a secretary at Washington State University. She retired in 1988 due to poor health.

Mrs. Wright was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Multiple Sclerosis Support Group.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Anthony Wright; her mother, Mary Mabry of Phoenix; and three brothers, Dennis Mabry of Folsom, Calif., Christopher Mabry of Phoenix, Ariz., and Michael Mabry of New Port Ritchie, Fla.

Jennie Omsted Spokane

Funeral Mass for Jennie M. Omsted, 84, will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Ann Catholic Church. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Omsted, who died Tuesday, was born in Mica and moved to Spokane in 1947.

She graduated from Holy Names Academy and Eastern Washington College.

She was a elementary teacher in Whitman and Spokane counties and retired from Sacajawea Junior High School in 1976.

Mrs. Omsted was a member of the St. Ann Altar Society, the Women of the Moose, the Royal Neighbors of American and Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court No. 196. She was the immigration chairman of the Northwest Area Diocesan Council of Catholic Women.

She is survived by her husband, Lyle Omsted; one son, Robert Omsted of Spokane; two grandsons and one granddaughter.

Albert Hanson Garfield, Wash.

Service for Albert E. Hanson, 53, is set for 1 p.m. today at Garfield Christian Church. Burial will follow at Garfield Cemetery. Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hanson died Wednesday at Pullman Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Green, Iowa, and moved to Tekoa, Wash., with his family, in 1942. In 1951 they moved to Garfield, where he graduated from high school.

He worked at the pea mill in Garfield for several years and also worked for area farmers. For a few years he operated the Riverside Resort in St. Maries with one of his brothers.

He is survived by one daughter, Lori Anderson of Moscow, Idaho; three brothers, Lavern Hanson of Fairfield, Leonard Hanson of Mead and Leslie Hanson of San Jose, Calif.; one sister, Catherine Roth of Spokane; and two grandchildren.

Ethel Munk Spokane

Memorial service for Ethel G. Munk, 85, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Fowler United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Private burial will precede the service.

A lifetime Spokane resident, Mrs. Munk died Wednesday.

She graduated from North Central High School and briefly worked as a telephone operator.

Her husband, Clark Munk, died in 1978.

She is survived by two sons, Richard and Ivan Munk, both of Spokane; two sisters, Myrtle Woody and Lois Foy; five grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.

Dellamae Colyar Spokane

Service for Dellamae I. Colyar, 70, will be at 2 p.m. today at Sunset Mausoleum Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park. Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.

Mrs. Colyar, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Wednesday.

She had worked as a sales clerk for Goodwill Industries for 30 years.

She is survived by one brother, Everett Colyar of Spokane.

Evelyn Wilkins Deer Park

Service for Evelyn May Wilkins, 88, will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at K & L Mortuary Chapel, Sheridan, Mont. Burial will follow at Laurin (Mont.) Cemetery.

Mrs. Wilkins died Wednesday.

She was born in Vermont.

A homemaker, she had lived in Spokane and in Deer Park for more than four years.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Her husband, Harold Wilkins, died in 1985.

She is survived by one daughter, April Tarbert of Deer Park; four sons, Cecil Lane of Hillsboro, Ore., Robert Lane of Kellogg, William Lane of Westport, Wash., and John Lane of Spokane; one sister, Luella Rogers of Bellows Falls, Vt.; one brother, Raymond Porter of Keene, N.H.; numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

H.E. Garmo Spokane

Service for H.E. Garmo, 86, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South. Burial will be at Spokane Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Garmo, who died Thursday, was born in Beach, N.D.

He moved to Spokane from Richland 45 years ago.

In Spokane, he operated Low Cost Food Stores until 1969 and later operated investment companies. He retired in the early 1990s due to illness.

He was a member of the Early Bird Club and the Brotherhood of Friends.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Vivian Garmo; two daughters, Zebbie Ellingson and Sue Garmo Palmieri, both of Spokane; one brother, Paul Garmo of Tacoma; and five grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Living Word Christian Center Building Fund.

Willard Duer Spokane

Service will be held at a later date for Willard K. Duer, a 34-year Spokane resident. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Duer, 86, was born in Freeport, Ill.

He died Tuesday.

He owned a chicken hatchery in Iowa for more than 30 years and moved his family to Spokane in 1961. He worked at National Furniture in Spokane until he retired in 1974.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Wilma Duer; three daughters, Carrolee Kraft of Dakota City, Iowa, Janet Bradshaw of Hinesville, Ga., and Nancy Finch of Spokane; one son, Jon Duer of Otis Orchards; 11 grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.

Grayson Drew Coeur d’Alene

Service for Grayson Wray Drew, 4, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Coeur d’Alene Bible Church. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Grayson died Tuesday from injuries suffered in an accident on April 15.

He was born in Coeur d’Alene.

He loved to play hide and seek, and freeze tag.

He is survived by his parents, Michelle and Joe Drew of Coeur d’Alene; one brother, Tyler Drew at home; and his grandmother, Ruth Jones, and his great-grandmother, Louise Cerar, both of Beaumont, Calif.
