State Program Has 19 Free Mammograms Left

From Staff And Wire Reports

North Idaho women who meet certain criteria may be eligible for a free mammogram, courtesy of an Idaho Health and Welfare Department grant.

The money is available to women age 40 or older, who have never had a mammogram, have not met their deductible or have no insurance, and have a physician referral. Interested women must meet all four requirements to qualify for one of the 19 positions left.

The program is available at hospitals in Coeur d’Alene, St. Maries, Sandpoint, Kellogg and Bonners Ferry.

For more information on the program, ask a physician or call the North Idaho Imaging Center at 666-3200.
