NEW FACES:

Robert Ritter has joined Washington Trust Bank as vice president-asset strategy consultant for the Private Banking Department. Ritter has 12 years of experience in global financial markets, money management consulting and national marketing.

Nancy Charlston has joined the Spokane Valley Office of Action Mortgage as a loan officer. Charlston has almost 15 years of experience in the customer service area, including work as a loan officer/originator with Pacific Northwest mortgage company. She was most recently a program director for the Boise Racquet & Swim Club.

Rob Gragg has joined Pentzer Development Corp. as senior property manager of the Spokane Business and Industrial Park. Gragg has more than 14 years of real estate industry experience and was most recently president and qualifying broker for Alvin J. Wolff Management Co. He is a certified property manager.

Elizabeth Copperwhite has joined the Spokane law office of Preston Gates & Ellis. Copperwhite will practice in the areas of environmental law, land use law and general civil litigation. She previously was designated counsel in the office of the Public Defender for the state of New Jersey. Copperwhite is a graduate of Boston University and Seton Hall University School of Law.

Paul Anastasi has joined the Spokane office of LeMaster & Daniels as a staff accountant in the accounting and auditing department. Anastasi graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in business administration with an accounting concentration.

Marge Rusch has joined PacifiCare of Washington as branch manager for the company’s Eastern Washington operation. Rusch’s responsibilities will include developing and implementing marketing and sales plans. A graduate of Oregon State University, she has 14 years of experience in the insurance industry - most recently as the Eastern Washington group marketing manager for Blue Cross of Washington and Alaska.

Tim Florin has joined DataPro Solutions Inc., as a program analyst. Florin will be responsible for integrating hardware and software for DataPro customers.

Kiemle & Hagood Co. has added the following people to its staff:

Janice Towlerton has joined the company as assistant controller.

Angela Newcomb has become an account assistant in the Residential Management Department.

Barbara Adams was hired as the executive assistant to Chief Executive Officer Jerry Hagood.

Brad Fasbender has joined Dain Bosworth Inc. as an investment executive in its Spokane office. Fasbender has completed a training program at Dain Bosworth and is now certified as a registered stockbroker.

Joyce Cameron has joined the Inland Northwest Chapter of the American Red Cross as director of development. Cameron will be responsible for the chapter’s financial development and public relations programs. She has a background in development, public relations and marketing and was most recently the director of community relations for Planned Parenthood of Spokane and Whitman Counties.

Lori Barnes has been named executive officer for the North Idaho Building Contractors Association. Barnes currently serves on the board of directors of both the Coeur d’Alene Area Chamber of Commerce and Kootenai Perspectives.

James Trittin has been appointed chief of the East Side Fire District. Trittin has 26 years of fire fighting experience and most recently was captain in the Alhambra (Calif.) Fire Department. Trittin holds an associate degree in fire science and architecture.

J.T. Adrian Roberts has been named executive director of the Tri-Cities Science and Technology Park Association in Richland. Roberts will continue in his economic development role at Battelle’s Pacific Northwest Laboratories.

MOVING UP:

Washington Trust Bank has promoted the following people:

Greg Strate was promoted to vice president and will continue as a corporate banking officer for the NorthTown Loan Center.

Andrew Porter was promoted to assistant vice president and will continue his responsibilities in the credit department of the bank.

Angie Duncan was promoted to assistant trust officer and will continue as supervisor of trust operations.

Washington State University has announced the following promotions:

Danial Baker was promoted from associate professor to professor of pharmacy practice with tenure. Baker will continue to be director of the College of Pharmacy’s Drug Information Center and Clinical Pharmacy program.

Mark Garrison and John White were promoted from assistant professor to associate professor of Pharmacy Practice and granted tenure.

DataPro Solutions Inc. has promoted Linda Isaacson from computer operator to payroll services supervisor. She is responsible for all of DataPro’s payroll processing services.

MOVING ON:

Fran Polek was elected professor of English Emeritus by Gonzaga University. He is retiring after 29 years in Gonzaga’s English Department.

STARTING UP:

Robert and Lynne Heygster have opened Hearing Care of Washington to provide complete hearing health care, including in-office manufacture and repair of hearing aids at Professional Building, 8615 N. Division, Suite B. Both Heygsters are state licensed and nationally board certified specialists.

TRANSACTIONS:

Gene and Dianne Ansbaugh, together with Lew and Darlene Smith, have purchased Idaho Lights, formerly Goodman’s Lighting and Fan Center on Government Way in Coeur d’Alene. The new owners plan physical changes in Idaho Light’s showroom and will offer new inventory and other accessories to improve service to builders and individuals.

Southern Cross Tours Inc. of Hayden Lake has been selected to join the New Zealand Tourism Board’s newly established NZ PAL Network of preferred travel agencies/tour operators. As a NZ PAL affiliate, Southern Cross Tours will receive regular updates on New Zealand travel products and other services in support of sales and training from the New Zealand Tourism Board.

EXPANDING:

Century 21 Randock has opened an office at 9611 E. Sprague in the Spokane Valley. The real estate agency, headed by Dixie Randock, also renewed franchise agreements for its Pend Oreille and Spokane office locations.

M/M Video Productions, 6024 S. Zuni Drive, has added professional VHS videotape duplication services to its video roster. The company will be able to duplicate six videotapes at one time.

The Northwest Inland Empire Chapter of the American Production and Inventory Control Society elected board members for 1995-96: Kevin Quinn, president; Lori Reiss, vice president of finance; Jim Lorenz, vice president of education; Ed Woodall, vice president of programs;Bill Turnquist, vice president of membership;Barb Woodall, vice president of communications; Barb Midgley, vice president of seminars; and Pat Cathey, secretary/vice president of awards.

APPOINTED:

Jennifer E. Roseman has been appointed to the Spokane Public Library Board of Trustees. Roseman is director of communications and development for the Community Colleges of Spokane.

KUDOS:

Unocal Corp. of Brea, Calif., has awarded the Washington Agriculture and Forestry Education Foundation a grant of $1,500. The grant will be used to partially support the two-year Leadership Development Program.
