Jean Fulks Shoots 69 At Liberty Lake

Last week was Liberty Cup competition for members of the Liberty Lake Ladies 18 Hole group.

Winner of the August leg was Jean Fulks with a net 69.

During concurrent putting competition, Diane Hicks won A flight with 27, three ahead of Alice Shattuck.

Three other flights featured ties. In B at 28 were Flurry Snyder and Dorothy Womach. In C at 30 were Phyl Kahle and Jody Cantrell. In D, also at 30, were Barb Buteux and Eleanor Seefried.

July’s best eclectic scores, gleaned from the various flights of Liberty Lake Ladies 18-Hole Golf Club included a round of 81 by A golfer Jackie Shea.

Other best low gross scores were Vivienne Symbol with 91 in B flight, Fulks and Marie Nelson with 96 in C flight and Jan Krogseth with 102 in D flight.

Net leaders for the month were Gloria Cash at 64 in A, Mabel Watkins with 65 in B,

Bette Harmon with 64 in C and Shirley Hook with 70 in D.

What’s new at Painted Hills?

The answer is: nothing has changed.

Danice Deckard continues to dominate weekly play among ladies club members, last week shooting a searing 40 in A flight.

Arleen Espe gave chase in B flight with 49, including a chip-in on the ninth hole. Diane Groh and Idell Choate had 54s in C and D respectively.

Net winners were Deanna Tuckers with 31 in A, Ellen Spalding and Shelley Van with 32s in C and Debbie Melius with 29 in D.

There was a four-way tie in B flight at 35 among Jackie Booth who birdied the second hole, Sharon Halsey, Cindy Robinson and Judy Clipperton.
