Expo Addition On Post Falls Agenda

From Staff And Wire Reports

The final approval for the first addition of International Expo is on the Post Falls City Council agenda tonight.

The council also is holding a public hearing on new rules for political signs.

So far, the first phase of Expo is little more than a Burger King and Texaco gas station. Six more lots on the 10-acre plat are still undeveloped.

The developer, Watson & Associates, is planning to build Expo Parkway to serve future business and industry in the area. Expo Parkway will be an extension of Fifth Avenue.

Watson & Associates has more than 600 acres to develop in additional phases.

In other business, the council will discuss new restrictions on the size and placement of political signs in the city.

Under the new rules, candidates will be required to register with the city and abide by its restrictions, such as placing no more than seven signs on one lot.

The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. , DataTimes
