Kidnap Warning

Guerrilla activity is increasing around Colombia’s capital of Bogota, and the State Department warned that a group called the National Liberation Army may be planning to kidnap foreigners this year.

A statement said the U.S. Embassy in Bogota has received information indicating the group plans increased activity against foreigners and multinational companies.
