Library Artwork Under Repair

A section of terrazzo in the Ring of Rivers outside the downtown Spokane Public Library’s main entrance is under repair.

Plywood now fills a space in the terrazzo circle. The names of regional rivers are embedded in the circle.

The name of one river, the Snake, was cracked during installation, said Aubrey George, library deputy director of public services.

The crack was not very noticeable, but would have grown worse with time, George said. The contractor on the project is paying to replace the section.
