Montana Precision Raises Nupower Stake

A Spokane company has increased its ownership share of NuPower, a company developing and marketing a waste-to-energy process called Skygas.

Montana Precision Mining has acquired an additional 7.21 percent of NuPower. Montana Precision bought out the interests of a minority partner for $100,000, bringing its ownership share of NuPower to 58.21 percent.

Montana Precision is joined in its development of Skygas by its venture partners Smogless S.p.A. of Milan, Italy, a subsidiary of U.S. Filter Corp. of Palm Desert, Calif.; Xytel Technologies of Mount Prospect, Ill.; and Enprotech Corp., of New York, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Itochu International of Japan.

Montana Precision also announced its retention of Beta Resources Ltd., a private investment banking group based in Morristown, N.J., to assist the company in developing future business opportunities.
