The Whole Enchilada, With Sauce
Whatever you put in your enchiladas - chilies, cheese, chicken, chorizo - the real challenge is the sauce.
You can’t do much better than the JS Foods enchilada sauce bottled by Joanne Sandifur of Coeur d’Alene, who formerly ran a handful of restaurants with her late husband, Victor Sanchez. He knew how Mexican food should taste; she made his memories come to life.
Sandifur also makes a mean salsa and a barbecue sauce, with frozen burritos and other entrees in the works.
Price: $2.29 and up for 16 ounces.
Available: Tidyman’s Warehouse Foods, selected Rosauers supermarkets, Super 1 Foods in Coeur d’Alene, Stein’s IGA in Rathdrum and various specialty stores.
