NEW FACES:

LeMaster & Daniels has added two people to its staff:

F. Dale Damron has been appointed senior consultant of management consulting services in the accounting firm’s Valley office. He is a graduate of San Diego University and previously worked for “A” Company Orthodontics as manager of financial reporting resources.

Wesley Bailey joined the firm as a staff accountant in the accounting and auditing department in the Spokane office. Bailey graduated from Central Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

H. Douglas Spruance III has joined the law firm of Feltman, Gebhardt, Eymann & Jones as “of counsel.” Spruance received his law degree from The Catholic University in Washington, D.C. He has practiced environmental law in Washington, D.C., and was house counsel to Dino De Laurentiis Corp. and Paramount Pictures Corp. in New York and Los Angeles.

Action Mortgage Co., a subsidiary of Sterling Financial Corp., has hired four new people:

Caren Guidinger has joined the North Spokane office as a loan officer. Guidinger has worked in retail management for more than 14 years and most recently worked in corporate advertising for a real estate company.

Judy King has joined the South Spokane office as a loan officer. King has been involved in all aspects of mortgage lending for 20 years.

Shannon Skiles joins the Spokane Valley office as a loan officer. Skiles previously worked in the optical industry.

Mike Savage has joined the Spokane Valley office as a loan officer. Savage was a real estate agent for 10 years prior to becoming a mortgage broker working all types of mortgage lending.

Raymond Clary has joined the law firm of Etter, McMahon & Lamberson as a principal.

Dr. Andrew Chiu has joined Dr. Roberto Auffant in the practice of anesthesiology and pain management. Chiu graduated from Oregon Health Services University and completed an anesthesiology residency at Sinai Hospital, Detroit. He also completed a two-year pain management fellowship at Virginia Mason in Seattle.

Michael Stultz has been appointed supervisor of Security Services at Sacred Heart Medical Center. He previously was director of security services at Stanford University Medical Center.

Ed Huppman Jr. has joined Sacred Heart Organ Procurement Agency as director. Huppman is a certified procurement coordinator who previously served as an administrator of the liver transplant program at Cedar’s Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles. He will oversee retrieval of hearts, lungs, and other organs for donation to patients on waiting lists for donor organs.

Betty Pettigrew Hill has joined the Spokane Veterans Administration Medical Center as chief of nutrition and food service. Hill previously was chief of the Administrative Section, Dietetics Service, at the Memphis, Tenn., VA Medical Center. She attended the Tuskeegee Institute and completed her graduate work at Cornell University.

Stoyan Katzarski, a former Bulgarian Olympic gymnast, has been named head men’s team coach at Lilac City Gymnastics Center. Katzarski also will serve as assistant women’s team coach.

Paul Bosarge has been appointed executive director of the Spokane Humane Society. Bosarge was most recently executive director of Associated Builders and Contractors.

Susan Dar has been named president of the board of directors for the Spokane Humane Society. Dar is a retired history/language arts teacher from the Central Valley School District.

Carole Meyer joined Re/Max Northwest Properties as a sales associate. Meyer, who specializes in residential properties, will be based at 214A N. First in Sandpoint.

MOVING UP:

Jack Layton has been promoted to business manager of Mancini & Groesbeck from territory manager. Layton, who attended Eastern Washington University and joined the company four years ago, will be responsible for the meat and grocery departments.

John Impson has been named vice president of manufacturing for Itronix Corp. Impson oversees all of Itronix’s manufacturing activities, including sourcing, materials procurement, manufacturing, engineering, assemble, test, final configuration and shipping. He has 30 years of experience in the electronics industry and was previously the director of operations for Itronix.

STARTING UP:

Arturo and Tina Tiscareno have opened T.A.B. Tailor Shop, at 59 E. Queen, Suite 103. The Tiscarenos have more than 40 years of experience in the trade.

J. Ben Newman, a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and Mary Hammond-Newman, a counselor, teacher, author, consultant and nationally registered play therapy supervisor, recently opened Transformations Inc., at 610 E. Main in Chewelah. The Newmans have 25 years of experience helping people discover themselves and cope with life.

Aggressive Mortgage Tactics has opened offices in the northwest area of Spokane and on the South Hill. The company helps educate homeowners in strategies of mortgage reduction and accelerated equity building.

Marty Sleezer has opened Century 21 Total, Realtors, at 414 Sixth St. in Wallace, Idaho. Sleezer, owner/broker, has been a real estate professional for more than 16 years. He has served as president and state director for the Shoshone County Realtors Association and has been a member of the Silver Valley Economic Development Corp.

ELECTED:

The 1995-96 medical staff officers for Sacred Heart Medical Center are: Dr. Eugene Grossmann, president; Dr. Steven Brisbois, vice president; Dr. Jeffery Clode, vice-president elect; and Dr. Ruth Langstraat, secretary-treasurer.

Three Spokane professionals have been elected officers for the Inland Northwest Society of Consulting Professionals: William Olson, CEO of Effective Management Systems Corp., president; Edward Coker Jr., a principal at Critical Data Inc., vice president; and Donald Spencer, a consultant, secretary-treasurer.

APPOINTED:

Stan Riggers District 1 Commissioner, was reappointed by Idaho Gov. Phil Batt to serve a second three-year term on the Idaho Barley Commission. Riggers is a barley, wheat and pulse producer from Craigmont, Idaho.

4-Seasons Travel has moved to 2017 W. Northwest Blvd.

KUDOS:

Rockwood Clinic recently won national advertising recognition at Health Care Marketing Report’s 1995 Annual Health Care Awards in the category of “Best Radio Series for a Medical Practice.” The radio campaign, “Sports Medicine Minutes,” featuring Rockwood physician and athlete P.Z. Pearce, was created by The Clark Co. and produced by Mortimore Productions.

The Spokane-based division of Hyster Sales Co. has received the honor of Dealer of Distinction. Dealer of Distinction status is the highest that a Hyster Co. dealership can achieve.

Hanna & Associates, a full-service advertising agency based in Coeur d’Alene, recently garnered five national awards, including three first-place honors, at the National Grocers Association’s “1995 Excellence in Advertising” competition. The awards received were for work completed on behalf of Tidyman’s.

DESIGNATIONS:

Pete Keinath has earned his residential marketing master designation from Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Service. Sales associates earn this designation by completing a rigorous training series on topics ranging from negotiating to effective pricing strategies.

Gordon Wagner has earned the distinction, certified crop adviser, a voluntary program developed by the American Society of Agronomy. Wagner manages The McGregor Co.’s fertilizer industry.
