Man Robs Downtown Subway Shop

From Staff And Wire Reports

A man robbed a downtown Spokane sandwich shop Monday evening and was last seen on West Third, police said.

The robber pointed to a bulge in his waistband and ordered a clerk at Subway, 24 W. Third, to give him money, Spokane police Sgt. Bill Scheres said.

The man ordered the clerk to stay on the floor as he fled with an undisclosed amount of money about 8 p.m.

The robber was a white man in his mid-20s with a scar on his right hand and blond hair tied in a ponytail, Scheres said. He wore a red plaid shirt and jeans.
