Oiler Player Carjacked

Houston Oilers offensive tackle Stan Thomas said a woman pointed a gun at his head Thursday night in Houston, wanting his $100,000 Mercedes and almost everything in it.

Thomas said the woman, wearing a bandana, approached him as he waited for a friend.

Thomas, who was uninjured, told police she opened the car door, pressed a black, small-caliber, semiautomatic gun against his head, and told him, “Get the … out of the car or I’ll kill you,” reports said.

Four hours later, the car was found burning a few miles away.

Miami Dolphins reserve running back Irving Spikes was arrested at his home on battery charges after his wife said he tried to choke her, Pembrook Pines, Fla., police said. Spikes is being held in Broward County pending a hearing today.
