Dea Employee, Son Shot In Pakistan

Compiled From Wire Services

A man on a motorcycle opened fire Sunday on a U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration employee waiting at a bus stop, killing the man and critically wounding his son, authorities said.

Mohammed Shahnawaz Toor, a Pakistani national, was waiting for a bus to take him to work at the U.S. Consulate when he was attacked, police said. He and his teen-age son, Khurram, were each shot three times.

Officials at the U.S. Embassy in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, said no one had taken responsibility for the killing and they did not know whether Toor was targeted because of his work.
