Teen Club Director Arrested On Rape Charge

A teen-club director has been arrested on charges of raping a 6-year-old girl he was baby-sitting, authorities said.

Ross William Sorrels, 44, of Vancouver, was being held in the Clark County Jail without bail after his arrest on Friday, Clark County sheriff’s officials said.

Sorrels is scheduled for arraignment on Monday in Clark County Superior Court.

Sorrels was baby-sitting for friends on Tuesday night when the rape occurred, Clark County Sheriff Garry E. Lucas said.

The girl’s parents called police on Wednesday.

Sorrels and Ron Fryer run the America for Youth Foundation, which operates The Club.
