Teana Scott scored 19 points and Anna Mullerleile had nine rebounds to lift Rogers to a 58-53 victory at East Valley Saturday night.

The Pirates (1-1) were up on the Knights (0-2) 52-51 with 2:39 remaining before pulling out the win.

Jaime Christensen added 10 points and five assists for the Pirates.

Angela Overdorff had 25 points, nine rebounds and four steals for EV.

The Bullpups (2-0) won their second straight game in Yakima, jumping to a 26-10 halftime lead and holding off the Pirates (0-1).

Jennifer Williams (17) and Theresa Palmer combined for 29 of the Bullpups points, combining to make 13 of 20 shots. The remaining Bullpups hit just 5 of 24 shots. Davis didn’t score its first field goal until the second quarter.
