Body Found Below Nine Mile Falls Dam

Compiled From Wire Services

Washington Water Power workers Monday found a man’s body floating downstream from Nine Mile Falls Dam.

The man had been in the water for “quite some time,” said Spokane County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Dave Wiyrick.

The man was wearing blue pants and one sock when he was found, Wiyrick said. Other than that, it was impossible to tell the man’s age or race, he said.

A wallet was in the man’s pants and officials will release his identity once it is confirmed, Wiyrick said.
