Hardan Hits Seven 3s; Ferris Trips Kamiakin

Chris Hardan made seven of Ferris’ 11 3-pointers and scored 25 Saturday as the Saxons (4-0) nipped visiting Kamiakin 75-74 in a non-league game.

Hardan’s 3-pointer with 3 minutes left broke a 68-all tie and led to a 7-0 run. The Braves (2-1) closed the gap with a pair of Jay Robinson 3-pointers in the final 15 seconds.

Robinson made five 3-pointers and scored 21. Kamiakin’s John Carlisle, a 6-foot-9 junior, was 11 of 14 from the floor and scored 23.

Andrew Coleman had 18 rebounds and five blocked shots, and the Bombers made 17 of 17 fourth-quarter free throws - and 24 of 27 for the game - to beat the visiting Highlanders (1-3).

Neal Robertson’s three 3-pointers put Shadle in an early hole. Oliver Cook scored 25 for Shadle, which was outrebounded 44-24.
