Notable

Denver coach Mike Shanahan has never beaten Seattle,

going 0-3 against them with the Raiders and 0-1 with the Broncos.

Joey Galloway needs two receptions to break Steve Largent’s 1976 rookie record of 54.

The Hawks have won only three of 17 games in Mile High Stadium. The last Hawk win there came in 1988.

In the first game between these teams this year, Seattle pulled off an impressive 27-10 win in the Kingdome.

The Hawks picked up 422 yards of offense and Warren rushed for 115 yards on 24 carries with three TDs.

This is expected to be the Broncos’ 204th consecutive sellout - a streak of 26 years.

The Broncos have scored in excess of 30 points six times this season, tying a team record.

Denver kicker Jason Elam leads the NFL in scoring by a kicker with 107. He also has more successful kicks beyond 50 yards (5) than any other NFL kicker.

Analysis

For 13 years, John Elway has been deadly to the

Seahawks. His four touchdown passes last week proved he remains in top form.

However, Denver’s two best tight ends, Shannon Sharpe and Jerry Evans, are out with injuries, putting the pressure on wideouts Anthony Miller and Mike Pritchard.

Yes, running back Terrell Davis is a threat, and yes, Mile High Stadium is always hostile, but this one comes down to stopping Elway.

If the Hawks can’t slow him down, their chances are slender.
