County Attorney Will Accept Cut In Pay

A Spokane County deputy civil attorney said Wednesday he will accept a pay cut to keep his job next year.

Garald Gesinger, 52, is slated to be laid off at year’s end due to budget cuts, according to Prosecutor Jim Sweetser.

Gesinger will lose about $33,000 in salary and benefits but said staying on with the county would afford him time to examine his options.
