Daughter Will Go Home To Robersons
A 5-year-old girl is going home to her parents, a Pentecostal preacher and his wife acquitted this week on charges of sexual abuse, a lawyer said Wednesday.
“Rebekah can go back home!” attorney Bill Parker said after finishing a telephone conference with a Wenatchee-area court commissioner.
The child’s parents - unordained pastor Robert “Roby” Roberson and his wife, Connie - were charged with 14 counts of child rape and molestation involving five children, including her.
A Douglas County Superior Court jury acquitted them on all charges Monday.
The girl will still be considered a dependent of the state for six months, as required by state law, Parker said.
