Nic Shows Balance In Shutout Of Clackamas

Dan Vega and Jessie Schaeffer each recorded decisive wins to lead the North Idaho College wrestling team to a 44-0 win over Clackamas Community College Friday night.

Vega set an early tone for the first-ranked Cardinals (5-0) by earning a 17-4 decision over Camaron Mitchum at 118 pounds.

Schaffer wrestled next and was an 18-7 winner over John Jones at 126 pounds.

Other winners for NIC included Ben Shane at 134, Chad Edgar at 142, Josh Morten at 150, Dincen Heine at 158, Jason Money at 167, Josh Clausen at 177, Orlando Jordan at 190 and Aaron McArthur at heavyweight.
