Three Trucks, Bus Kill 20 In Fiery Crash

Compiled From Wire Services

Three trucks and a packed bus collided in a fiery explosion killing at least 20 people, including all four drivers, police said Saturday.

Twelve survivors were hospitalized with light burns after the accident Friday night 120 miles northwest of Sao Paulo in southeastern Brazil.

The crash occurred when a freight truck hit a rear bumper of a pickup truck stopped on the shoulder of the freeway, police said.

The freight truck ricocheted into the left lane, hitting the side of a fuel truck. Both vehicles jumped the highway divider and slammed head-on into an oncoming bus and a fourth truck carrying frozen chicken.
