Matty G, the longest shot in a field of seven, led nearly all the way in winning the $500,000 Hollywood Futurity at Hollywood Park by seven lengths.

Hennessy, the 3-10 favorite and a prime candidate for an Eclipse Award for 2-year-old colts or geldings, was forced to take up twice in traffic and finished fourth.
