Boos, Defeat Greet Riley Upon Return

Patrick Ewing had 18 points and 16 rebounds as New York defeated the Miami Heat 89-70 Tuesday night in Pat Riley’s first game at Madison Square Garden since leaving the Knicks in June.

Besides being deluged by boos and catcalls by the Madison Square Garden crowd, Riley’s Heat posted its second season-low in as many games.
