Kidnapped Flour Baby Found In Sousaphone

From Staff And Wire Reports

A class project on parenting that turned into a schoolwide mystery kidnapping has been partially resolved.

Students at Garry Middle School still are unsure who kidnapped a flour-bag “baby” from Life Skills teacher Eric Johnson.

But the model baby for a parenting unit in his class has been returned after being discovered in a sousaphone in the school’s music room. The sousaphone had been labeled as a day-care center.

Teacher Jim Kappelman’s science classes have been learning forensic science as they’ve tried to solve the mystery.

They have seven suspects and seven motives. Their assignment now is to gather enough evidence to make an arrest, said Kappelman, who appointed himself police chief for the project.

The students included Kappelman as a suspect, saying his motive for kidnapping “Baby Kimberly” was to teach science. , DataTimes
