Clyde Drexler will likely sit out tonight’s game against Portland, and the Houston Rockets guard may be out for two weeks with a bruised shin. Drexler was injured Tuesday night when he collided with Charles Barkley Tuesday. His playing status is listed as day to day. … Chris Webber, Washington’s top scorer, twisted his left ankle during warmups, forcing him to miss the Bullets-Suns game. His condition is day-to-day.

At Veysonnaz, Switzerland, Austria’s Alexandra Meissnitzer captured a women’s World Cup super-G to post the second victory of her blossoming career and take the lead in the overall standings. Downhill champion Picabo Street of Sun Valley, Idaho, was seventh. Teammate Shannon Nobis of Park City, Utah, placed eighth.
