Stockton’s 3-Point Basket Beats Buzzer And Cavs

Associated Press

NBA

John Stockton caught an inbounds pass and swished a straightaway 3-pointer at the buzzer Thursday night, to lift the visiting Utah Jazz past the Cleveland Cavaliers 89-87.

The Jazz ended Cleveland’s four-game winning streak and improved to 3-2 on their six-game road trip that ends Saturday in Chicago.

Stockton’s 3-pointer made up for some poor foul shooting that allowed the Cavaliers to overcome a six-point deficit in the final 24 seconds.
