Woman Cited In ‘Burrito Assault’
In what police are calling a “burrito assault,” a local woman was cited for allegedly attacking another woman with a Mexican entree Wednesday night.
Pullman Sgt. Chris Tennant said Katherine E. Hubbard, 23, was upset at finding a former boyfriend dining with another woman at the Nuevo Vallarta restaurant on North Grand Avenue.
Hubbard grabbed the woman by the hair, picked up a burrito and slammed it into the woman’s face, Tennant said.
Hubbard was cited at the scene for fourth-degree assault, a misdemeanor, and released. Police did not give out the name of the victim.
The victim’s injuries were minor, said Tennant.
“Probably no more than a hot burrito in the face might cause.”
