Witty, Fitzrandolph Rule

Compiled From Wire Services

Christine Witty and Casey FitzRandolph, both of Wisconsin, swept the 500- and 1,000-meter races at the first day of the U.S. Sprint Speedskating Championships.

Although some predicted the team’s demise without Olympic champions Dan Jensen and Bonnie Blair, Witty and FitzRandolph have already won 1,000-meter World Cup races this season to show the U.S. team is still viable.
