Was That Santa Or A Drunken Driver?

Even Santa Claus must obey traffic laws.

A man dressed in a Santa suit ran a red light, then hit a car, and that car hit another car, police said.

Michael Iannarone wasn’t hurt Saturday, but he was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated, evading responsibility and failure to obey a traffic signal. The two other drivers suffered minor injuries.

“I’ve made a lot of arrests on Christmas, but this is the first time I’ve had to arrest Santa,” Sgt. Marcel Lajeunesse said.

Iannarone posted $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 12.
