Female To Cooperstown

Ila Borders, who officially became the first woman to pitch in a college baseball game last February, will soon be on display at the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y.

Borders, who turns 20 on Feb. 18, will be part of the “Women in Baseball” exhibit at the Hall of Fame’s Museum, it was announced.

MLS signs two New York Major League Soccer announced midfielders Todd Yeagley and Brian Maisonneuve, America’s two top college players, have committed to play when the proposed U.S. first division gets under way in April 1996.

Yeagley and Maisonneuve, teammates on Indiana University’s 1994 national runnerup team, were the second and third players signed, following U.S. national team member Tab Ramos.
