Act Presents Murder In The Motor Inn

Do you think ice cream and fried clams will figure into the plot?

They ought to, because the new show at the ACT Theatre in the Valley is “Murder at the Howard Johnson’s,” an establishment famous for such delicacies.

This play is described as a “rollicking suspense-comedy about a love triangle in a Howard Johnson’s Motor Inn.” It was written by Ron Clark and Sam Bobrick.

The director is Jamie Flanery and the cast includes Debbie Allen, Jack Gaffney and Dana George.

The show opens tonight at 8, and will continue Saturday and Feb. 10-11, 14, 17-19 and 24-25. All show times are 8 p.m. except for a 2 p.m. matinee on Feb. 19. Tickets are $6, and are available by calling 921-1706.

A special dinner theater performance, catered by Luigi’s restaurant, is scheduled on Valentine’s Day. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by the performance. The cost is $49.95 per couple. Reservations are required before Tuesday.

The ACT Theatre is a community theater located at 425 North Evergreen.
