Rice Scores 22 In Ccs Victory

Shane Rice, who had only six points all season, came off the bench and unleashed a 22-point performance to lead six Sasquatch scorers in double figures and lift host Community Colleges of Spokane to a 110-95 overtime victory over Blue Mountain Community College in NWAACC play at the Johnson Sports Center Saturday night.

Damian Schug sank 8 of 9 free throws in overtime as the Sasquatch overwhelmed the Timberwolvers 23-8 in the extra period.

Blue Mountain’s Rob Brown sent the game into overtime when he made a tip-in at buzzer.

Mike Ferrante turned in an outstanding defensive effort, holding Timberwolves leading-scorer Jay Wilcott, averaging nearly 22 points a game, to 10 points on 3-of-9 shooting.
