Fire Damages Spokane Home

From Staff And Wire Reports

Fire heavily damaged a north Spokane home Monday afternoon.

Rhonda Correia and her 10-year-old son weren’t home when the fire began in their living room, the Spokane Fire Department said.

Flames were shooting from the front of the house at N5920 Nevada when firefighters arrived at 12:50 p.m.

One of the two family cats in the rental home died in the fire.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation. The Red Cross is providing the family with shelter.
