Keith Cook hit a half-court shot at the buzzer as the visiting Rams (12-3, 14-4) clinched no less than a tie for first place in the Northeast A League Tuesday.

Riverside, which will play second-place Chewelah in a season-ending matchup Friday, was led in scoring by Cook’s 19 points.

Cory Oberst paced the fourth-place Scotties (9-6, 11-8) with 24 points and nine rebounds.

Chris Boone scored 21 of his 30 points in the first quarter to lead the visiting Cougars (11-4, 14-5) past the Stags (1-14, 3-15).

Greg Belzer grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds for the Cougars, but the Stags outrebounded Chewelah 40-39.

The Cougars forced 20 turnovers while committing only nine.

Carlos Simmons scored nine of his 20 points in the fourth quarter as the visiting Cardinals (10-5, 13-5) downed the Bulldogs (5-11, 7-13).

Medical Lake went 14 of 18 from the line in the fourth period as the Cardinals spoiled David Stoner’s 27-point, 11-rebound performance.
