Huffington Finally Concedes Senate Race

Compiled From Wire Services

Three months after the election, Republican Mike Huffington conceded defeat Tuesday to incumbent Democrat Dianne Feinstein in the race for one of two California seats in the U.S. Senate.

Huffington congratulated Feinstein on her narrow victory Nov. 8 in the nation’s most expensive Senate race.

Huffington, who spent nearly $28 million of his own money in the campaign, said he was withdrawing his request to the Senate Rules Committee that Feinstein’s election be voided.
