Balanced Cougars Clobber Visiting Trojans, 84-64

Isaac Fontaine scored 20 points to lead Washington State to an 84-64 victory over Southern California Thursday night.

Washington State (11-7 overall, 6-4 Pac-10) took early control of the game, 18-4.

The Trojans (7-13, 2-8), trailing 35-23 with 2:46 left in the first half, couldn’t get any closer than 35-27 at halftime on a dunk from Lorenzo Orr and a Stais Boseman layup.

The Cougars opened the second half with a 9-2 run and closed the game with a 13-8 run as Southern Cal struggled defensively.

Washington State got 19 points from Tavares Mack, 18 from Mark Hendrickson and 13 from Shamon Antrum.

Jaha Wilson led the Trojans with 15 points and collected 13 rebounds. Orr added 13 and Brandon Martin scored 11.
