Shirley Chisholm To Speak At Ewu

Former Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm will give a free public talk tonight at Eastern Washington University.

She will appear at 7 p.m. in the second floor auditorium of Showalter Hall on the Cheney campus. Her talk will be on “Human and Civil Rights in a Conservative Era.”

Chisholm was the first black woman elected to Congress, serving from New York, and campaigned for president in 1972.
