Here is a look at action Wednesday in the Washington Legislature: Governor:

No major action.

Senate:

Confirmed on a unanimous vote the reappointment of James Tupper as a member of the Pollution Control Hearings Board.

House:

Approved on a 69-27 vote Initiative 164, which would require governments to pay property owners for any land value lost to government regulations, and to factor-in economic impacts when imposing land-use regulations.

Bills introduced:

HB1918, to ban the use of prison labor in political campaigns.

HB1947, to require that the Department of Licensing mark with the letters “DUI” the driver’s license of any person convicted of drunken driving.

HB1944, to change the primary election date from the third Tuesday in September to the second Tuesday in June.
